Day 633

If you don’t have perseverance nothing else matters, if you have perseverance nothing else matters – that’s what I keep learning

It’s 3 : 22 PM on day 633 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  feed myself  Oats for breakfast,    publish my Disability of the Day feature, read The Rabbi and the Suicidal Teen and Not My Will Thy Will – The Rabbi and the Suicidal Teen was a powerful story about the value of every life and Not My Will Thy Will was about a woman’s In-Vitro Fertilization journey –    exercise my right hand – I can now use a fork and knife I’m not completely confident yet but I suspect my confidence will increase the more I’m put in a situation where I have to use a fork and knife –and  feed myself butternut and chicken curry for lunch with a fork and knife – I am  SO PROUD of me for the first time ever I was able to eat with a fork and knife without much effort

This afternoon as I was feeding myself lunch with a fork and knife for the very first time in my life I realized If you don’t have perseverance nothing else matters, if you have perseverance nothing else matters I could have given up on eating with a fork and knife SO MANY times in the past few weeks but I didn’t and as a result I succeeded.
