What matters more than how much people expect of you is how much you expect of yourself– that’s what I keep learning 
It’s 8: 23 PM on day 670 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself Chapati and chilli chicken for breakfast, drink Green Tea by myself, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, work, feed myself rice and curry for dinner and brush my teeth once more.
Today while working I realized what matters more than how much people expect of you is how much you expect of yourself my parents have told me on numerous occasions with the best of intentions our money is your money essentially giving me permission to lay around and be nothing but because I expect better of myself I wake up every day and work my butt off. Do you set high expectation for yourself thus making other people’s expectations of you irrelevant?
