Society makes people out to be more “disabled” than they truly are – that’s what I keep learning 
It’s 5 : 46 PM on day 734 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, drink milk by myself, publish my Disability of the Day feature, publish my Kid of the Week feature and spend time outside.
Last night I read this tweet by Amy (@thisisamy_) I know it’s just language, but I don’t SUFFER from cerebral palsy. I HAVE cerebral palsy. There’s a big difference. the truth of her words struck me in my twenty-one years of living with Cerebral Palsy I’ve never once suffered from it, it’s annoying that the media keeps using the words Cerebral Palsy sufferer every time they refer to someone who has Cerebral Palsy. Do you assume that someone is miserable if they’re not exactly like you?
