The strangest things can give you hope – that’s what I keep learning 
It’s 2 : 05 PM on day 743 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, drink milk by myself, publish my Disability of the Day feature,work, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and watch TV
Yesterday my brother was watching Ben 10 and I couldn’t help but notice that there was a character in that particular episode who was in a wheelchair which gave me a strange sense of hope because kids are the future and if we expose them to all sorts of people from an early age they will be less likely to discriminate when they get older. What has given you hope in recent days?
