The more you know yourself the less you feel the need to react to what people say about you - that’s what I keep learning 
It’s 2 : 22 PM on day 772 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to stretch my hamstrings, brush my teeth, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, feed myself an egg sandwich and a bran muffin for breakfast, publish my Disability of the Day feature, listen to music and watch TV.
This morning somebody said to me out of fatigue I’m assuming all you do is eat and go to the bathroom in the past I would have responded to that by listing all the things I do on a daily basis but today I just said chuckling on the inside of course that’s all I do because I knew that I had nothing to prove to anyone and because retaliating against somebody who hurt me wasn’t consistent with the person I wanted to be I believe you should be nice to even the people who are mean to you. Do you react to everything people say about you because you don’t know yourself very well?
